Sponsorship Categories

The Friends of Brookfield website has three types of sponsorship categories: Paid Neighborhood Sponsors, Honorary Local Sponsors, and Outside Advertisers. Advertisments can be submitted to the Friends of Brookfield in GIF, JPG, PNG, or PDF format.

Honorary Sponsors

The Friends of Brookfield recognizes honorary sponsors that have provided our association or our neighborhood with substantive assistance, products or services.

Paid Neighborhood Sponsors

Residents of Brookfield who wish to advertise their businesses are welcome to become paid sponsors of our organization.

Paid neighbhorhood sponsorships are $100 for a business card-sized website advertisement (for example, your logo and contact information, or your business card). The advertisement will appear on our website on the appropriate page for approximately one year from date of posting, and thereafter may be removed, at our discretion.

Paid sponsors must be current members in good standing of the civic association. Dues are $25 per year, payable at any annual meeting, at most civic association events, or to our post office box. Write checks to "Friends of Brookfield." Mail to PO Box 222582, Chantilly, Virginia, 20153-2582.

Outside Paid Advertisements

Paid advertisements from outside firms may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. These may appear on the sponsors page or on a separate page, as deemed appropriate by our webmaster or board. Outside paid advertisement options include:

  • Small ad - $150 for a business card-sized website advertisement (for example, your logo and contact information, or your business card).
  • Medium ad - $250 for an ad the equivalent of a half-page print ad, roughly 7" wide by 6" high. Due to changes in screen resolution and user settings, dimensions are approximate.
  • Large ad - $400 for an ad the equivalent of a full-page print ad, roughly 8.5" wide by 11" high. Due to changes in screen resolution and user settings, dimensions are approximate.

Outside paid advertisements will appear on our website on the appropriate page for approximately one year from date of posting, and thereafter may be removed, at our discretion.

Content policy

Friends of Brookfield reserves the right to update our content policy. All sponsors and advertisters agree to this policy and to future revisions as a term of their sponsorship.

Sponsors, and the content of all advertising materials, must adhere to a strict code of conduct that is predicated on respect, tolerance and inclusiveness. Our organization has the right to refuse to publish (or to remove without notice or refund) any advertisement that our board deems inappropriate.

Further, removal of ads may occur if sponsors (or members or affiliates of the sponsoring organization) do any of the following:

  • Participate in hateful speech or prejudiced statements, use inflammatory language, or incite others to violence or illegal activities;
  • Participate publicly, online and IRL, in strongly partisan and/or controversial political behavior;
  • Portray the Brookfield neighborhood in general or this civic association in particular in a negative or unflattering manner;
  • Post, share, or endorse inappropriate content on social media, or content similar to the kind discussed in prior points in this list.

The Friends of Brookfield does not accept political advertisements and is unlikely to accept advertising of a controversial matter.

Our organization has the right to refuse sponsorships at our discretion.

For information about sponsoring the Friends of Brookfield civic association, email us. Note: As a volunteer organization, expect a response in one to two weeks.
